The island's coastline is excellently connected and easily reached via a fast monorail, special beach trams, or comfortable, shaded pedestrian walkways.
Best season
Beach life pulsates throughout the year, but weekends usually bring the largest crowds. During the week, the tropical sun can be enjoyed in a much quieter setting.
Terrain & paths
Fine, imported sand forms wide, gently sloping coves that are flanked by paved promenades and lush, manicured palm groves in the hinterland.
What to bring
Classic beachwear, swimsuits, towels, and very strong sun protection are mandatory. Chilled drinks can easily be purchased at the numerous kiosks nearby.
Parking
Large, paid parking garages are found in the central areas of the island, from where shuttle services conveniently transport visitors to the desired beach sections.

Swim exclusively in the marked zones supervised by lifeguards. Pay attention to the heavy boat traffic that exists just beyond the floating safety barriers.
