Dragomirești-Vale is a commune in western Ilfov County, situated on the left bank of the Dâmbovița River, very close to the Bucharest Ring Road. It consists of three villages: Dragomirești-Vale, Dragomirești-Deal, and Zurbaua. Its strategic location near the A1 motorway has made it one of the premier logistics and industrial hubs in the Bucharest metropolitan area, hosting vast warehouse complexes for multinational companies. Historically, the region was an agricultural heartland known for its watermills along the Dâmbovița River. One of its architectural landmarks is the Saint Nicholas Church in the main village, built in the 19th century, which remains a central point for the local community. The commune has seen rapid demographic and infrastructure growth recently, as the industrial sector brings jobs and investments. Despite this development, Dragomirești-Vale retains some of its natural charm, especially near the river banks and the Zurbaua forest. It stands as a vital economic link between the capital and the western part of Romania.
