Drawieński National Park (Poland)

Weather…

Drawieński (Drawa) National Park in northwestern Poland is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, defined by the deep, untamed valleys of the Drawa and Płociczna rivers. These two rivers carve rapidly through the post-glacial sandur plateau; with their rapids, scattered boulders in the riverbed, and steep gradients, they closely resemble true mountain rivers, an absolute anomaly within the otherwise flat Northern European Plain. The clear, cool, and oxygen-rich waters provide outstanding spawning grounds for rare anadromous fish such as trout and salmon. The waterways are framed by expansive, shaded beech forests and monumental, over 300-year-old oak stands within the Puszcza Drawska (Drawa Forest). Additionally, the park is a highly critical conservation area for the Eurasian otter, which fittingly graces the park's logo as its symbol, and serves as a habitat for numerous rare kingfishers that nest in the steep riverbanks.

🎒
What to bring
