Lipkovo Lake is an artificial reservoir located in northern North Macedonia, created in the late 1950s by damming the Lipkovska River on the slopes of the Skopska Crna Gora mountain range. The dam construction was completed in 1958, and since then, it has served as a critical source for irrigation of agricultural lands in the Kumanovo region and as a provider of drinking water. With a maximum depth of approximately 35 meters and stretching several kilometers in length, the lake occupies a narrow valley that gives it a fjord-like appearance. The lake is easily accessible by paved regional roads from the nearby city of Kumanovo leading directly to the dam. The valley roads can be narrow and winding in certain mountainous sections.
