Archaeologists have recovered glass beads from India, Persian glazed ceramics, and Chinese porcelain, illustrating the vast reach of its commercial networks. Chibuene maintained a symbiotic relationship with the inland site of Manyikeni, acting as its maritime outlet for international trade. These findings prove that the region was deeply integrated into global networks centuries before European arrival.
