Getting there
The park is most commonly accessed from the town of Houayxay in Bokeo Province, often via organized excursions focused on the canopy experiences. Tour operators provide the necessary off-road transportation from the town center deep into the remote forest base camps.
Best season
The dry months from November to April offer the safest and most enjoyable conditions for ziplining and jungle trekking. During the rainy season, heavy downpours increase the risk of slippery trails, though the bustling green of the recovering forest is particularly memorable.
Terrain & paths
The environment is characterized by dense, old-growth mountainous jungle and steep ravines. Expect to hike on muddy, uneven forest trails with significant elevation changes before reaching the extensive aerial networks and elevated platforms positioned high in the canopy.
What to bring
