The Aqaba New Port is a state-of-the-art maritime infrastructure project located at the southern end of the Jordanian coastline, near the border with Saudi Arabia. Completed in 2018, it was designed to replace the old port in the center of Aqaba, freeing up land for major tourism-led waterfront developments. The new port complex features specialized terminals for grain, general cargo, containers, and liquid chemicals. By relocating further south, the port benefits from deeper waters and larger capacities, allowing it to accommodate the world's most modern cargo vessels. As Jordan's only gateway to global trade, the port is of vital importance for the country's food security and industrial supply chain. It also serves as a strategic logistical hub for the reconstruction of Iraq and connects the Levant to markets in Asia and Europe. The new port is a closed industrial area, not open to the public. From the coastal road south of Aqaba, however, the modern cranes and extensive container storage areas are clearly visible.

An excellent viewpoint is the beach section at the southern end of Aqaba Bay, offering a panoramic view of the entire port complex. The observation platform at the marina also provides a wide view of the new port area.
