The photogenic town of Höxter is situated directly on the banks of the Weser river and represents a major highlight in the Weserbergland region. The settlement is best known for the impressive Corvey Abbey, a former Benedictine monastery that is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Carolingian architecture and fascinating historical library attract countless visitors throughout the year. In the historic old town of Höxter, guests can admire ornately decorated timber-framed houses built in the Weser Renaissance style, which give the center a very special charm. The historic town hall from the 17th century is one of the most beautiful examples of this local architectural heritage.
