Mtatsminda Park (Georgia)

Weather…

Mtatsminda Park is an extensive amusement and landscaped park situated atop Mtatsminda Mountain at an elevation of 770 meters above sea level. As the highest point in Tbilisi, it provides unparalleled panoramic views of the Georgian capital. The park was originally established during the Soviet era in the 1930s and underwent a major reconstruction in 2009, which introduced modern attractions such as a 62-meter-high Ferris wheel. A dominant feature of the site is the 274-meter-tall Tbilisi TV Broadcasting Tower. Visitors typically access the park via the historic Funicular railway, which first opened in 1905 and covers a steep 500-meter track. The park includes the renowned Funicular Restaurant complex and various themed zones for children and adults. Beyond entertainment, the mountain is of high cultural significance due to the Mtatsminda Pantheon located on its slopes, where many of Georgia's most famous writers and national figures are interred.
