Visiting
The port is open to the public, but as an active transshipment point it is not designed as a tourist attraction. Visitors can watch the colorful hustle of piraguas (dugout canoes) and the arrival of goods.
Where to view it
The best spot is the riverfront promenade of Grand-Santi, offering a view over the entire port area. From the high bridge at the northern end of the village, one gets a good panoramic view of the river and boats.
