The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape in South Moravia is one of the world's most impressive man-made landscapes, often referred to as the 'Garden of Europe.' Spanning nearly 300 square kilometers, the Princes of Liechtenstein created a harmonious blend of architecture and nature over centuries. Lednice Chateau impresses with its Neo-Gothic facade and magnificent interiors, while the Baroque Valtice Chateau is famous for its wine cellars and the National Wine Center. Between the two residences lies a vast park with ponds, canals, and romantic structures like the 60-meter-high Minaret or the artificial ruin of Janohrad. The region is excellent for cyclists, as well-developed paths connect the various landmarks. Beyond culture, viticulture plays a central role; visitors should definitely sample local Moravian wines in one of the many historic cellars. The site is accessible year-round, with the spring blooming season being particularly enchanting for long walks.
