Bouzov Castle (Czech Republic)

Weather…

Bouzov Castle, located in the scenic heart of Moravia, is one of the most romantic and visited castles in the Czech Republic. Originally founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries as a Gothic fortress, it passed through various noble families before being acquired by the Teutonic Order in 1696. Its current fairy-tale appearance in the Neo-Gothic style is the result of a massive reconstruction between 1895 and 1910, commissioned by Grand Master Archduke Eugen of Austria. The castle features imposing towers, battlements, and two fully functional drawbridges, creating an excellent medieval atmosphere. The interior is richly decorated with historical furniture, artworks, and an extensive collection of weapons belonging to the Teutonic knights. Bouzov is a highly popular filming location for both Czech and international fairy tales and historical movies, standing majestically on a hill overlooking the Moravian countryside.
