Vrećari is located in Istria County, directly on the road connecting medieval Labin with the surrounding villages. In recent decades, the place has evolved from a small agricultural settlement into an attractive residential area. Thanks to its proximity to Labin, residents and visitors benefit from excellent infrastructure while enjoying peace away from the city center. In the surroundings of Vrećari, traces of the region's mining history are still present. Labin was once the center of Istrian coal mining, which can be explored today in the Public Museum. Vrećari itself features green landscapes and serves as a good starting point for exploring the hinterland of Eastern Istria. The hilly topography is excellent for mountain bike tours and extensive hikes through Mediterranean forests. The tourist appeal of Vrećari lies mainly in its short distance to the resort of Rabac. Within 10 minutes, one can reach some of the most beautiful pebble beaches in Istria and the crystal-clear water of the Kvarner Gulf. Culturally, the area is known for its handmade pasta (Fuži) and game dishes served in nearby restaurants. Vrećari is thus a practical and quiet place for travelers wanting to experience Eastern Istria authentically.
