💡 Tips
- Use the taxi boat to reach Trogir; it's faster and much more scenic than driving through traffic.
- Explore the old village center, which was uniquely built as a first-rate square in the 16th century.
- Walk along the Lungomare promenade towards Seget Vranjica for the best sunset views.
- Visit the small harbor in the morning to buy fresh fish directly from the local fishermen.
🍽 Food
Fresh catch of the day, best enjoyed in a waterfront konoba (tavern) with local chard.
The groves above the village produce high-quality, pungent olive oil.
Meat or octopus slow-cooked under a bell-like lid covered with embers (usually needs to be ordered in advance).
🛍 Shopping · 🧘 Quiet spots
Look for 'Domaće maslinovo ulje' signs in the narrow streets of the old village core.
Local lavender from the nearby hills is often sold at small stalls along the promenade.
The small square in front of the church in the historical core is usually very peaceful.
Walk westwards away from Trogir; the crowds thin out quickly as you head towards Vranjica.

Seget Donji is a unique settlement on the Dalmatian coast. Its historical core was designed in the 16th century as a fortified square settlement to protect residents from Ottoman attacks. This geometric form has been preserved to this day, giving the town a special architectural charm. The narrow streets and stone houses within the walls bear witness to its long history as a fishing and farming village. Today, Seget Donji is seamlessly connected to the UNESCO city of Trogir, which can be reached via a beautiful seaside promenade in just 20 minutes on foot. The town gives a variety of accommodations, from campsites to modern hotels, and is a convenient starting point for boat trips to the islands of Drvenik Veli and Mali. The beaches in Seget are mostly pebble and offer crystal clear water. Gastronomy in Seget Donji is excellent, focusing on fresh fish, seafood, and local olive oil. Along the coast, there are numerous konobas (traditional taverns) serving homemade specialties. For active vacationers, the 'Path of Health' (Staza zdravlja) in the hinterland has great opportunities for hiking and cycling with views of the sea and the surrounding islands.
