Mošćenička Draga originated as a port for the medieval village of Mošćenice situated above. Today, it is one of the most characterful destinations on the Opatija Riviera. The town's centerpiece is Sipar beach, one of the most beautiful pebble beaches on the Adriatic, formed by erosion from the Draga stream. The place maintains an authentic maritime atmosphere with colorful fishing boats in the harbor and excellent seafood restaurants along the promenade. A highlight is the Trebišća trail, a mythological-historical hiking path that leads deep into the Učka Nature Park. For active visitors, there are the famous stairs with over 700 steps connecting the beach directly to historic Mošćenice.
