Marceljani is a typical Istrian hamlet in the eastern part of the peninsula, located in the gentle green hills above the town of Labin. This small place embodies the essence of rural Istria, where life moves at a slower pace and the connection to the land is still strongly felt. The settlement consists of a handful of carefully restored stone houses, which today are often used as luxury villas for rural tourism. The location of Marceljani features the best of both worlds: the absolute seclusion of the hinterland and the immediate proximity to the sea. In just a few minutes by car, you can reach the crystal-clear bays of Rabac, one of Istria's most beautiful coastal towns. The surroundings are a paradise for cyclists and hikers, with paths leading through dense macchia and along dry-stone walls. Visitors can taste local products in the surrounding farms, such as the famous Istrian ham (Pršut), spicy cheese, and excellent wines of the Malvazija and Teran varieties. Marceljani is an excellent starting point for excursions to the medieval old town of Labin with its art galleries or to the ancient monuments in Pula. It is a place where you can feel the scent of wild sage and rosemary in the air and experience true Istrian hospitality.
