Koromačno is a unique place on the southeastern coast of Istria. It developed in the early 20th century around a cement factory, giving the town its own industrial aesthetic. Despite this industrial imprint, Koromačno surprises with crystal-clear, turquoise water and beautiful hidden bays in the immediate vicinity. The town is situated on a small peninsula and features a wide view of the Kvarner Gulf and the island of Cres. The coast here is wild and rocky, making it a paradise for divers and snorkelers. Underwater, one finds a rich flora and fauna favored by currents in the channel. Nearby is Tunarica Bay, a popular destination for campers and nature lovers. For hikers, the trail to the nearby Cape Skitača provides spectacular panoramic views. Skitača is known for its healing spring and the solitude of the mountains that fall directly into the sea here.
