Karojba is located in the heart of Istria, surrounded by fertile valleys and rolling hills. The settlement's history dates back to Roman times when it was a crossroads known as Quadrivium, from which the village's name is derived. Numerous archaeological remains, such as ancient tombstones and ruins of Roman villas, can be found in the vicinity. The region is a gourmet paradise, as it borders the famous Motovun forest, renowned for its white truffles. A unique natural attraction is the Badavca spring, which has served as a local meeting point for centuries. Agriculture remains central to life here, with wine production (notably Malvazija and Teran) and olive oil being the primary products. Karojba is an excellent starting point for cycling trips along the historic Parenzana trail. Local gastronomy highlights authentic Istrian dishes like fuži pasta with truffles. The village is easily accessible by road from Pazin or Motovun.
