Gamboci is located near the town of Buje, in one of Istria's most renowned wine and truffle regions. The village is surrounded by rolling hills often referred to as the 'Tuscany of Istria.' The location has a magnificent view over vineyards and olive groves up to the Slovenian border. Culinarially, Gamboci is a highlight, being close to some of the peninsula's best konobas (taverns) serving fresh truffles and handmade pasta. The area is also very popular with cyclists, as the historical Parenzana railway line, now a cycling path, runs very close by. Gamboci provides a quiet, exclusive atmosphere, yet is only a short drive from the coastal towns of Umag and Novigrad, making it an excellent retreat.
