Suvorovo is located in northeastern Bulgaria, within the Varna Province, and serves as the administrative center of its municipality. Originally known as Kozludzha, the town was renamed in 1934 to honor the Russian Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov. This change commemorates the 1774 Battle of Kozludzha, a pivotal engagement during the Russo-Turkish War where Suvorov secured a decisive victory. Geographically, Suvorovo is situated on a fertile plain where agriculture, particularly cereal farming, remains the primary economic activity. A notable cultural landmark is the local mosque, which dates back to the 16th century and is among the oldest in the region. The town benefits from its proximity to the Black Sea coast and the industrial hub of Devnya. In recent years, Suvorovo has emerged as a center for renewable energy, hosting several wind farms on the surrounding plateaus.
