Kiten is an appealing resort located on a small peninsula on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is uniquely positioned between two beautiful bays: Atliman to the north and Urdoviza to the south. Atliman is widely regarded as one of the most scenic bays in Bulgaria, featuring fine sand, calm shallow waters, and pine trees that reach right down to the beach, making it a paradise for families with children. The southern bay houses the local harbor and is more open to the sea. The town occupies the site of the ancient fortress Urdoviza, and underwater archaeological finds like stone anchors and amphorae testify to its long history. Nowadays, Kiten is a friendly holiday spot with many small hotels, guesthouses, and shady campsites that maintain a relaxed vibe. The main street is full of cozy cafes and affordable restaurants serving local delicacies like grilled fish and shopska salad. The nearby Karagach River provides excellent conditions for fishing.
