The Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz is the largest and most important stadium in Bolivia and one of the highest professional stadiums in the world. Located at an altitude of approximately 3,637 meters above sea level, it has a unique backdrop and presents a significant sporting challenge for visiting teams due to the thin mountain air. The stadium was inaugurated in 1930 and named after Bolivian President Hernando Siles Reyes. It is the home ground for the Bolivian national team as well as major local clubs Club Bolívar and The Strongest. With a capacity of over 41,000 spectators, it is the center of Bolivian football passion and has hosted numerous historical matches, including victories against world-class teams like Brazil and Argentina. The stadium has undergone several modernizations to meet international standards and remains a symbol of national sporting spirit and the identity of La Paz.
