Madhabkunda Eco Park is a major draw in the Sylhet division, centered around a spectacular 60-meter waterfall that cascades violently during the rainy season. Surrounded by dense, emerald-green forests and steep hills, the area provides an excellent setting for nature walks and photography. The sheer rock wall covered in moss and ferns creates a highly atmospheric environment that attracts both domestic and international tourists. Beyond the waterfall itself, the surrounding landscape is dotted with sprawling tea gardens and traditional Khasia tribal villages, known as punjis. Visitors can observe the unique lifestyle of the Khasia people, who cultivate betel leaves in the deep forest shade. The local stalls near the waterfall offer fresh fruits, local tea, and traditional handicrafts. While the waterfall is most powerful during the monsoon (June to August), the slippery trails make winter (November to February) the safer and more popular time to visit. The site is accessible by road from Moulvibazar or Sylhet, with the final stretch offering beautiful views of the region's undulating tea country.
