The Al Dur Power Plant is one of the largest and most modern Independent Water and Power Producer (IWPP) facilities in Bahrain. Located on the southeastern coast of the kingdom, it plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for energy and potable water. The plant, built in multiple phases, has a significant generation capacity. Phase I, commissioned in 2012, uses combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology for efficient electricity generation.
