Tierra Santa Theme Park
Tierra Santa is a unique religious theme park located on the banks of the Río de la Plata in the Costanera Norte neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Opened in 1999, it recreates with remarkable precision the atmosphere of ancient Jerusalem from two thousand years ago. Visitors can walk through narrow streets flanked by replicas of period houses, meeting actors playing the roles of craftsmen, Roman soldiers, and citizens of the ancient city. The highlight of the experience is the Resurrection moment, marked by a massive mechanical statue of Jesus that rises above Golgotha Hill, accompanied by symphonic music and special effects. The park has an ecumenical perspective, including elements from Judaism and Islam to highlight historical religious coexistence. It is a popular destination for urban pilgrimages and tourists curious to discover biblical history in an interactive and accessible format.
