Located just at the mouth of Dubai Creek, the expansive sanctuary is easily accessible by taxi or private car from the city center via the major, well-signposted highways.
Best season
The cooler winter months from November to March are highly recommended to comfortably observe the greatest numbers of migratory flamingos and various other bird species.
Terrain & paths
The vast sanctuary mainly consists of protected salt flats, tidal mudflats, and lush mangrove forests, which are observed mostly from designated wooden viewing hides.
What to bring
