Pak Bara in Satun Province is primarily known as the main departure pier for boats to Koh Lipe and other islands in the Tarutao National Marine Park. However, the town itself has much to offer. Cu Pa Noi Beach and Bulo Beach are quiet retreats often overlooked by travelers just passing through. These beaches offer a relaxed atmosphere and a magnificent view of the offshore limestone cliffs. The town is part of the Mu Ko Phetra National Park, meaning the natural environment is strictly protected. Pak Bara is famous for its excellent seafood restaurants, offering freshly caught products at fair prices. In recent years, the place has developed into a destination in its own right, boasting a local market and a friendly atmosphere. The architecture is functional, but the charm lies in the maritime dynamics and proximity to Southern Thailand's untouched nature.
