Chak Bay village is located in the heart of the Tarutao National Marine Park in Satun Province. This location is far from mass tourism and gives one of Thailand's most pristine island experiences. Koh Tarutao island was once a prison and a pirate hideout, but today it is a protected nature reserve with dense jungles and limestone cliffs. The beaches here are panoramic and natural. Molae Beach (also known as Mo Le Beach) is famous for its white sand and shady coconut palms, well-suited for relaxing in complete tranquility. Another gem is Ao Son, a long, deserted stretch of coast known for turtle nesting sites and nearby waterfalls. Dining options are simple and authentic, mostly in small national park restaurants serving classic Thai dishes. As it is a national park, infrastructure is limited. Access is by ferry from Pak Bara Pier in Satun, usually with a stop at the national park headquarters.
