Ranong Port on the Andaman Sea coast is a strategically important harbour for trade with South Asia and the Middle East. It is part of Thailand's southern economic corridor and promotes regional goods exchange.
Visiting
The port is an active cargo port and not open to the public. From the surrounding roads and the coastal promenade, one can watch the large cargo ships and the port operations.
Where to view it
The best public view of the port is from the coastal road south of the quay. From the observation platform on the nearby hill, one also has a good sight of the entrance and berthing places.
Local products
The port itself does not sell goods directly. The nearby fish markets in Ranong offer fresh seafood, dried fish, and local specialties from the Andaman Sea.

Port operations run year‑round, with increased activity during the main shipping season between November and April. During this time, cargo traffic to South Asia and the Middle East is lively.
