Anmyeondo

Anmyeondo is an island connected to the mainland by a bridge, offering a great escape from urban life. It is world-famous for its unique pine forests, which have been protected since the Goryeo Dynasty and whose wood was once used to build royal palaces. The Anmyeondo National Forest invites visitors to take relaxing walks under tall, fragrant trees, providing a soothing atmosphere of tranquility. Arguably the most famous spot on the island is Kkotji Beach. Here you can find the iconic "Grandmother" and "Grandfather" rocks (Halmi and Harabi Rocks), which look particularly spectacular at low tide and are considered one of the best places in Korea to watch the sunset.
