The Logofăt Manor in Târgoviște is an outstanding example of 17th-century Wallachian aristocratic residential architecture. It was originally built as a residence for high-ranking state officials who held the title of Logofăt (Chancellor), reflecting the wealth and political power of this social class. The building's architecture blends late medieval Romanian traditions with early Baroque influences, featuring characteristic elements such as massive stone walls and decorative arches. Located near the former Princely Court, the manor was a venue for important political consultations and social gatherings for the elite of the time. Over the centuries, the building underwent several modifications, yet many of the original structures and vaulted cellars have been preserved. Today, the restored manor is an integral part of Târgoviște's historical ensemble, hosting exhibitions on local history and culture. It provides visitors with an authentic insight into the lifestyle of Wallachian boyars before the country's modernization.
