You must wear hiking boots with good grip. The trail through the gorge is rocky, slippery, and involves crossing suspension bridges.
To avoid the biggest crowds, visit on a weekday or start your hike very early in the morning on a weekend.
There are two main entrances. The entrance from the Turda side is more popular and has more facilities, but the entrance from Petreștii de Jos is often quieter.
The trail through the gorge is relatively short (1.5-2 hours one way), but plan extra time to admire the views and take photos. The return is on the same path.
