Erected between 1926 and 1928, this structure holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest cross located on a mountain summit. Another significant cultural landmark is Cantacuzino Castle, built in 1911 in the Neo-Romanian architectural style by Prince Grigore Cantacuzino. Bușteni serves as a primary starting point for hikes to the Babele plateau and the Sphinx rock formations, which are also reachable via a scenic cable car.
