The cave is only accessible from the sea. You can enter by kayak, inflatable boat, or a small tourist boat. Entering is not allowed, only passing through.
Typical hours
The cave is accessible during daylight. Best in the morning when light falls through the ceiling opening, illuminating the sandy floor.

Photography is allowed in the cave. The beam of light through the round roof is the most famous photo subject - use a waterproof camera.
Time needed
Time inside the cave is only about 10-15 minutes. For the entire boat trip from Benagil, allow 1-2 hours.

Combine the cave visit with other nearby sea caves like Algar Seco Cave or Marinha Beach. The entire Algarve coast is rich in such formations.
Getting there
Starting point is Benagil beach. There you can rent kayaks or small boats. The beach is reachable by car via N125 and local roads.
