Biak-na-Bato National Park (Philippines)

Weather…

Biak-na-Bato National Park in Bulacan province is a natural and historical sanctuary that served as a natural fortress for Filipino revolutionaries in the late 19th century. Its rugged terrain, composed of rock dens and hundreds of caves, provided a strategic refuge for General Emilio Aguinaldo and his troops during their fight against the Spanish. It was here that the Republic of Biak-na-Bato was proclaimed in 1897 and the first provisional constitution was drafted. Today, the park is a popular adventure destination, offering hiking trails that lead to historic caves like Bahay Paniki (House of Bats) and Aguinaldo Cave. Biak-na-Bato represents the great symbiosis between the wild beauty of nature and the sacrificial spirit of national heroes.
