The Lahore Safari Park, officially known as Woodland Wildlife Park, is an extensive zoo and safari park located on the outskirts of Lahore. Opened in 1982, it covers over 80 hectares. The park is divided into several sections, including a large drive-through safari where visitors can observe animals like lions, Bengal tigers, and various ungulates up close in a relatively open environment. One of its biggest attractions is the walk-in aviary, which hosts an impressive variety of bird species, including peafowl, pheasants, and parrots. The park also features a lake that provides boating opportunities and has special enclosures for crocodiles and other reptiles. It serves as an important educational and recreational center, attracting thousands of visitors annually, especially families and school groups.
