Weather…

Jebel Madar is a prominent geological formation located near the town of Adam in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. This mountain is renowned as one of the world's most perfectly preserved salt domes, where subsurface salt has been forced upward through heavier overlying rock to become visible at the surface. The structure forms a nearly circular dome approximately six kilometers in diameter, rising sharply from the surrounding flat desert plains. Geologically, it provides a unique window into the Ara Group formations, which are over 540 million years old, dating back to the late Neoproterozoic era. Researchers frequently use the site as a natural laboratory to study salt tectonics and the development of hydrocarbon traps in the desert environment. Archaeological traces around the base indicate that this landmark served as a critical navigational point for trade caravans as early as the Bronze Age.
