Raudhatain Field (Kuwait)

Weather…

The Raudhatain Field is the most significant oil production area in northern Kuwait and a key component of the national strategy to increase overall oil capacity. Discovered in 1955, it marked the beginning of large-scale exploitation of the country's northern resources, diversifying production away from the southern clusters. The field is characterized by its complex geology, featuring multiple producing horizons at various depths. In recent years, massive investments have been made to implement modern secondary and tertiary enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods. Raudhatain plays a crucial role in achieving Kuwait's long-term goal of reaching a production capacity of 4 million barrels per day. The facility has state-of-the-art Gathering Centers that separate oil and gas for further processing and transport. In addition to crude oil, the field contains substantial deposits of associated gas used for domestic power generation. Managed by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the field adheres to high safety and environmental standards. It serves as a symbol of the technological evolution of Kuwait's oil industry beyond its traditional southern strongholds.
