Yaouré Gold Mine (Côte d’Ivoire)

Weather…

The Yaouré Gold Mine is one of Ivory Coast's newest and most technologically advanced mining projects. Located near Yamoussoukro on the Kossou Reservoir, it is operated by Perseus Mining. The first gold pour took place in December 2020, completing the project ahead of schedule and under budget. The mine is characterized by low production costs and high gold quality. By using state-of-the-art automation and monitoring systems, Yaouré sets new standards for mining in West Africa. The lakeside location allowed for innovative logistics during the construction phase but also places high demands on environmental protection. The mine is an important pillar for the country's goal to establish itself as the region's leading gold producer and contributes massively to the economic development of the Lacs region.
