Tambakrejo is located in the Blitar Regency in East Java and is one of the region's most important fishing centers. The town is famous for its large harbor and the daily fish market, where visitors can buy the freshest seafood directly from the boats. The main beach, Pantai Tambakrejo, impresses with its white sand and colorful fishing boats. In the surrounding area are other pristine gems such as Pantai Gemuling and the wilder Gayasan Beach. A special highlight is Pantai Jebring, known for its dramatic rock formations and the darker sand typical of volcanic coastal stretches. The coast here is characterized by high cliffs and the powerful surf of the Indian Ocean. Tambakrejo is also a cultural site where the 'Larung Sesaji' ritual is celebrated annually to thank the sea gods. The journey from the city of Blitar takes about an hour and leads through winding mountain roads with impressive views.
