Weather…

Gol Gumbaz, located in Vijayapura (formerly Bijapur), Karnataka, is the mausoleum of Mohammed Adil Shah, the seventh ruler of the Adil Shahi dynasty. The structure was completed in 1656 CE by the architect Yaqut of Dabul. The monument is world-renowned for its monumental dome, which has an outer diameter of 44 meters, making it one of the largest unsupported domes in the world. A unique acoustic feature is the 'Whispering Gallery' located inside the dome, where even the softest sound can be heard clearly on the opposite side, and echoes repeat up to seven times. The architecture blends Indo-Islamic and Deccan styles, featuring massive seven-story octagonal towers at each of its four corners. The building stands as a crowning achievement of the Bijapur Sultanate's architectural heritage and is a major landmark in South India.
