Getting there

The Mount Béro Forest Reserve in southern Guinea is mostly accessed via unpaved jungle roads, which generally make an off-road capable vehicle strictly mandatory.

Visits are best planned during the short dry season, as the heavy downpours during the rainy season can leave the trails completely flooded and deeply muddied.

Since there is no official infrastructure, it is best to park vehicles on the edge of the reserve in agreement with the villagers before continuing on foot.
