This large, tranquil lake just inland from the resort is first-rate for a peaceful walk or a boat trip. It's a designated nature reserve.
Much more relaxed than the main resort, this photogenic fishing harbour is a great place to watch the boats, see the nets being mended, and enjoy the calmer atmosphere.

The beach promenade is great for long walks past modern piers and well-maintained parks like the Kurpark. Nature lovers will find one of Germany's lowest points at the nearby Hemmelsdorfer See.
