Water temperature…
Ebersbach-Neugersdorf was established in 2011 through the merger of two historic towns in Saxon Upper Lusatia. Positioned directly on the Czech border, it is geologically defined by the Lusatian Highlands. The town is uniquely famous for containing two of the three sources of the Spree River: the coldest source on the Kottmar mountain and the highest-volume source in the Ebersbach district. Historically, this area was a titan of the textile industry, a legacy preserved in old factories and numerous 'Umgebindehäuser'. This unique architectural style merges log cabin, timber-frame, and stone masonry techniques and is a hallmark of the region. Today, the town focuses on cross-border cooperation, tourism, and small-to-medium enterprises. It hosts the annual Jacobimarkt, one of Upper Lusatia's largest folk festivals, drawing crowds from across the border and beyond.
