Jambanjali Forest is located in the West Coast Region of Gambia and is accessible via the coastal highway. Visitors can reach the forest from major tourist hubs by hiring a taxi or using a rented four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Best season
The best time for exploration is during the dry season from November to May when the paths are easily navigable. During the rainy season from June to October, the terrain can become very muddy, making forest hikes challenging.
