From March to April this music festival (formerly Jazz à toute heure) presents a program of jazz, blues, pop, rock, chanson and world music in Guyancourt.
Located in the Yvelines department, Guyancourt forms a core part of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines new town, offering a brilliant synthesis of high-tech innovation and carefully preserved local heritage. Once a modest farming village, it experienced rapid development in the late 20th century. The old center still enchants visitors with its traditional stone buildings, the 13th-century Saint-Victor church, and welcoming squares. Contrastingly, the city is a major economic hub, famously home to the Renault Technocentre, a massive architectural marvel of automotive research. For sports enthusiasts, Guyancourt is globally recognized for Le Golf National, a prestigious golf course that hosted the legendary 2018 Ryder Cup and is renowned for its formidable Albatros course. Beyond concrete and greens, the city embraces nature with numerous lakes, such as the Étang du Moulin à Renard, providing tranquil spaces for jogging and weekend picnics. This lively juxtaposition of a historic village soul with world-class sporting venues and futuristic corporate architecture makes Guyancourt a deeply multifaceted destination southwest of Paris.
