Pori Industrial Port (Finland)

Weather…

The Port of Pori, comprising the Mäntyluoto and Tahkoluoto sites, is a strategic logistics hub on the Finnish west coast, highly specialized in heavy lift and project cargo. Tahkoluoto is notable for hosting the world's first deep-water port specifically designed to meet the requirements of the offshore wind industry in Arctic conditions. The Pori region is also a major center for metal refining, where Boliden processes copper and nickel ores, an activity closely linked to the port's export operations. Recently, the port has positioned itself as a pioneer for green energy, featuring LNG terminals and advancing plans for large-scale hydrogen production. Its infrastructure includes specialized quays for handling oversized components, such as wind turbine blades. With direct rail links to the national network, Pori serves as a critical gateway for the raw material supply of Finnish industry and a vital node for international trade across the Baltic Sea region.
