Weather…

Derba Midroc Cement Factory, located in the Oromia region about 70 kilometers from Addis Ababa, is one of the largest and most modern cement production facilities in Ethiopia. Launched in 2012 by the Midroc Ethiopia Group, the plant was built with an investment of approximately 350 million US dollars. It has a massive production capacity of 2.5 million tons of cement per year, which significantly helped address the country cement shortage during a period of rapid construction growth. The factory utilizes advanced technology and its own limestone quarries located nearby to maintain high-quality production standards. Its establishment created thousands of jobs and spurred the development of the local Derba area. The plant also operates a fleet of hundreds of heavy trucks to ensure the efficient distribution of cement across the nation. Derba Midroc remains a pivotal player in the industry.
