Sagadi Manor (Estonia)

Weather…

Sagadi Manor, located within the Lahemaa National Park, is one of the most exceptionally preserved Baroque manor ensembles in Estonia. Its history dates back to 1469, but its current architectural form was largely established in the 18th century under the von Fock family. The main building, constructed between 1749 and 1753, features an elegant facade and a symmetrical arrangement of outbuildings that form a horseshoe-shaped courtyard of honor. Inside, visitors can discover valuable wall paintings and period furniture that illustrate the lifestyle of the Baltic nobility. Today, the manor houses the Estonian Forest Museum, documenting the region's deep historical and economic ties to forestry. The surrounding parkland, with its ponds and rare tree species, complements the cultural heritage, making Sagadi a prominent center for tourism and environmental education. The estate also functions as a hotel and conference center, where the historical character has been meticulously maintained to provide an authentic atmosphere.
