Nivå is a coastal town in northeastern Zealand that provides a fascinating blend of industrial history and cultural heritage. The town is primarily known for the Nivaagaard Brickworks Museum, located on the site of what was once Denmark's largest brickworks. This industrial past shaped the landscape through numerous former clay pits, which today serve as photogenic lakes and nature reserves. Another cultural gem is the Nivaagaard Picture Gallery, which houses an impressive collection of paintings from the Italian Renaissance and the Danish Golden Age. Nivå is situated on a shallow bay of the Øresund, characterized by extensive salt marshes and rich birdlife. In recent decades, the town has developed into a modern residential area particularly popular with families. Nivå Harbor is a modern leisure hub featuring a marina and various dining options. Thanks to its position on the Coast Line railway, the town is ideally connected to the urban centers of Copenhagen and Helsingør.
